Default Blast of Colo(u)r

I got a new camera yesterday (July 3, 2012). And the City where I live does it's fourth of July celebration on the third. Tech details: Nikon D800 and Nikon 70-300, B (4 sec.) F8, ISO 100, Manual focus.

For a full sized look. Check it out on Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/gr8subl...n/photostream/.

Nice way to celebrate getting a new camera!
I like the shot. I like that each burst is mostly in colour and not blown out. I have to say, though, that I've seen so many photos of fireworks by now that I'm kinda jaded and would love to see something different. But for a classic shot, this one's great.

Good composition and good color; not easy to do with fireworks.

You did a a nice job capturing the fireworks. For me, however, images with fireworks but without any foreground or other images in the frame are uninteresting -- they don't tell a story and certainly aren't as beautiful or dramatic as the real thing.
