This weekend I took Charlie with me to Kananaskis. I figured he should see my favorite haunts before he sets out to see the world. I think he had a blast!

Here's Charlie at Wedge Pond on Saturday evening. It was a beautiful evening. Little bit of a cold wind but great blue sky and great light.

Here's Charlie and I at the Upper Kananaskis lake this morning. Charlie's haveing a great time sitting on the stump while I run back and forth setting the self timer. Man was it ever cold!

Charlie looks cute! Nice shots.

Hey, Tom. That horizon on the first one seems to be listing to port.

Hey guys, if you could do me a favor. When you put pictures of Charlie up, make sure you put him in your gallery, then go to the geoTagger and tag the image. Put the words 'Traveling Charlie' in the text box for the description and 'NOTHING ELSE'. I'm going to make a special map for him and need to be able to query the DB. Make sure the locations are accurate.

Good luck Charlie!

Thanks!

That's what happens when you have a curved shoreline in a photo. I always make sure that my camera is level but you are right it does "look" off. I'll fix it and re-upload it.

Check out this travelling bear in Lithuania gallery. I hope this is the kind of thing you had in mind with Charlie.

As many of you know, Barbara and Fred took Charlie along on their trip to Montana last week. Charlie got himself into a bit of trouble with the Sheriff in Virginia City and he was transferred to the jail in Bannack before being released. Needless to say, it was a real inconvenience to have to travel ALL THE WAY to the old ghost town of Bannack, Montana to retrieve good 'ol Charlie...but we did.

Here is Charlie early in the trip, at our first stop in Garnet, Montana...and before all the trouble started. It was a cold wet day and Charlie was wanting to warm up next to the old stove.

This shot is of Charlie hangin' out on the corner of Main Street and 2nd Avenue in Marysville, Montana...just north of Helena. People still live in Marysville; although, it has seen more prosperous days.

In this third and final image (can't post more than three), Barbara and I are walking Charlie up to the "Board of Pardons" office at Deer Lodge, Montana. The office is just across the street from the old Montana State Penitentiary.

As you can see, in this portrait, the three of us are together.

Barbara and Fred
