Default Close-up eye

Could I have some input on this photo please? I cropped it to try something new, but i'm not sure about it. Nothing has been done to this photo outside a resizing to post it.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I prefer the first cropping. On the other one, the shadow on the right and that one highlight on the lower eyelid are distracting. I would like more depth of field on either one, though.

Any other kind of cropping you might suggest? I do not think that I'll have a chance to re-shoot this one, unfortunately.

No, the cropping is fine. If you have a chance to shoot another subject like this one, that strand of hair and its shadow is a nice touch.
