Ok here is my entry

ISO 500 F/5.6 4 seconds Flash Balanced
Two strobes fired by optical slave one on the right and one in front of the barn.

Dodging burning, contrast, sharpening, and very little selective color use

Enjoy!

Default Rising

Canon Powershot A590 IS, f/5.6, 5 seconds. The camera's flash was diverted from illuminating the subject to triggering a studio flash at the beginning of the exposure. Then I knelt, illuminated by an incandescent lamp. The title Rising sounds better than kneeling.

Exclamation We're making an exception this month...

There was a discussion amongst some of the mods about making an exception this month and adding a late entry. I noticed the entry rules were a bit confusing this month since it says that the contest runs until May 31st but the next line says the contest closes May 30 at midnight EST. It should have said "midnight May 31st". Since we have members who live in the Pacific time zone (the last time zone to hit midnight for our members), all future contests will now say "Midnight Pacific Time". Daylight and Standard Time designations will no longer be mentioned making it easier for two old farts (Fred and me) to remember when the contest closes so we can post the polls. Luckily we don't have anyone living in Hawaii because that's an even later time zone! I can only imagine how difficult it must be for others who live in different time zones trying to figure out exactly when these contests close.

Since pathography posted his photo in the gallery before midnight PT (the date says May 31 when I look at it) and his intent was to enter it in the contest, an exception will be made and it will be added to this month's contest.

Thanks for understanding. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to pm me or Fred.
