Question Clarification

I am a bit confused with the BLACK AND WHITE competition in colour. Is it just black and white without ANY COLOUR? I assume the black and white photo is taken with 'colour so to speak' film or digital'). Thanks.

See, I was thinking along the lines of a single color (monochromatic, literally) on a grayscale-ish background. My entry was from a series of three I did a few months ago on my blog.

This is a confusing subject.

Hey there folks, sorry about the confusion, but yes, Fred is right, what I had in mind was a something that is Monochrome or Black & White that IS TANKEN in full color IE: A pair of dice, a sheet of typed paper etc....

NOT
something that was taken in color and transformed in BW. I know its a tough one but I know you guys, you'll come up with something

Yeah, sorry about all of the confusion. I guess I should have explained it better.
Todd did a good job explaining it - a colour photo of a subject that is predominately black and white or monochrome. Here is one of my shots as an example. It's not a contest entry because I had it posted it in the gallery before (it got lost during the last hiccup).

I'll admit, it's a winter scene so it was relatively easy to pull off.

Default Submitting Photo for Contest

Hi

I now have a photo in an album. I have printed out various explanations but just can't seem to load the photo to the contest.

I go to contest and can't seem to find the process for entry.

Being a newbie - I do believe "threads" is another name for link?

Any advice would really be appreciated.

This is such an interesting site!

Thanks

avonatc

Hi avonatc,

Welcome to Photochimps!

The easiest way to "upload" a photo in the contest (this thread) is to simply copy the contents of the BB Code field under your image in the gallery and paste it here.
