well matt, i'm hoping to turn this into a monthly contest... i love seeing the different things people can do with the same image.
as a side note, i'm looking for an unprocessed, previously unposted image for future contests. pm me if you have something, it doesn't need to be spectacular.

I used curves to create an alternate version and combined them in ImageReady to create the clip. You have to save the two versions as gif files first.

Nice, but an awfully big file. I waited a while for it to download. Then I bundled up for cool weather and went outside to feed and water the cats and brush the snow off the pickup so the ice underneath could melt. By then the image was almost downloaded. 2.6 GB!
