Default A 360 degrees panorama

A step by step tutorial. Making a 360 degrees panorama with a fish eye lens

1. The shooting stage. For this shooting I used a tripod with a special panoramic head. I usually shoot 8 images to make a 360 degrees pano.

2. I converted 8 RAW images in ACR (pic. 01, 02)

3. I used PTGui Pro, version 8.2.1. First we load images we want to stitch (pic.03)

4. Next we click Align button (see red arrow at pic.04)

5. After the alignment is done we are forwarded to the next window where we can choose the projection, can align verticals, the horizon. If it’s a 360 degrees image we can move the panorama horizontally. It’s a draft image and we can do lots of things with it. (pic.05)

6. Then we click the Advance button. (pic. 06)

7. In the Advanced part we choose size (1), file format (2), smartblend plugin (3), then either “Create Panorama” button or “Save and send to Batch stitching”. I prefer the latter since in that case we can proceed to the next panorama while the first one is being processed. We can load lots of panoramas to be processed for the night. By the morning they are all ready. (pic.07)

8. A panorama being rendered. (pic.08). It took 5 minutes to render a 10676 x 3936 (42.0 MP) panorama.

9. I tried PS3 (pic. 09) and PS4 (pic.10)

10. I sent a panorama made by PTGui to the Gallery. In PS I only cropped it and reduced the size and file format.
