To take it back around to the topic, I guess since the advent of cameras for the masses, there have always been the parallel lines of point-and-shooters and those who run studios and/or practice "traditional" photography.

It's a blessing and a sometimes a curse that phone cameras are so easy to use at events. I wouldn't imagine 30 years ago that everyone would have brought their own SLR's to a wedding. I have seen film cameras brought but they were usually plastic point-and-shoot cameras used for photos at receptions. "OK, look here, OK, over here, now over there, OK, back here!" It's a pain in the arse for the primary photographer because you have to keep the subjects from drifting off after Aunt Betty gets her shot.

I once took a digital point and shoot to a friend's wedding but that was for my own entertainment.

You now what I hate about cell phones. VIDEO capture. My girls are always catching me doing stupid things. I can't even sing in the car anymore.

There should be nothing wrong with your singing in the car being taped, but Please, Please, don't post the videos here!

Nate sometimes wants to take pictures - I'm NOT showing him how to do video. Oh man, I'm not looking forward to whatever they come up with by the time he's a teenager. Yikes!
