Default Video on Kodak lenses

This 24 minute video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tpzi...ature=youtu.be helps us appreciate the manufacturing of Kodak professional lenses in the late 1940s. Kodak was one of the great lens makers of the World. Many of us still regularly use those lenses. Of course advances like modern computers, multicoating, and advanced machining enable better lenses to be produced for relatively lower prices. Those masterpieces from Kodak's glory years are now usually even less expensive. When we use lenses almost identical to those preferred by the likes of Ansel Adams, we can't blame the optics when we don't produce great photographs.
