Default Who am I

I made made a career out of taking portraits of people jumping. My most famous photograph took six hours, 28 jumps, and a roomful of assistants throwing angry cats and buckets of water into the air to get the perfect exposure.

I was going to explode a cat in order to capture it "in suspension," though that arguably would have been a waste of cats.

My celebrity "jump" portraits appeared on at least seven Life magazine covers and helped usher in a new and radically more adventurous era of portrait photography.

I was imprisoned for patricide and they even made a movie about it.

I am called one of the 10 greatest photographers in the world and have photographed John F Kennedy and Albert Einstein.

I found it by googling, but I want to see if anyone knows who before I answer (I consider mine cheating).

Without googling I'd say Philippe Halsman.

That's who I found by googling. Why am I not surprised Jim would know?
