Hummer

I went to the UC Botanical Garden, and I was very surprised to see these guys in the South African section. There weren't many other flowers, so a few of these guys were defending their territory.
This is one that I caught feeding on an Aloe.

Another good one. Great color and good timing to catch the hummer well positioned. If the camera had been positioned an inch or two higher, it would have eliminated the patch of blue sky in the upper left. I sometimes operate a camera upside down in such a situation.

If I could only see these things when I am taking the pictures. I get so excited when I get started that I forget to look around. I have a bunch with him sitting in a branch, only it has a bad background. When he is sitting there, I did move around a bit, but it didn't help.
