Russ Senior Member Registered: October 2005 Location: Tacoma, WA area Posts: 995 users gallery	A moonrise calculator, compass (you remember those things from pre GPS), NOAA declination website, some good weather, and my son reminding me led to a rendezvous with a moonrise over Mt Rainier from a viewpoint near home. Partially obscured by low clouds, the moon was delayed a few minutes but did eventually increasingly peer thru the clouds.....8:59 PM. Canon 20D, 100-400mm @ 160 ISO100, f-8, 1/20 sec, polarizer tripod, MLU, cable release

SWEET! I like the clouds across the moon. In the one without clouds, the moon is too bright and doesn't blend well with Rainier.
