Pt Defiance fuschias I



A 2nd set of flowers from the local park's gardens, these from its multi variant Fuschia Garden.

I used a gravel walkway as the background on this one.

Canon 20D, 100-400mm @ 340
ISO400, f8, 1/50 sec

Great idea with the background, exposure (not that any of your three has any weak points ..) But if you shot this ....more into frame you would not see the stem coming across the top. Overall Good Shot. Kern

I see nothing wrong with the stem coming across the top. It gives something for the flower to hang from. If you tried to frame this tighter to avoid that stem, you would likely clip some of the petals. Changing angle or position to avoid that might not give you the same background. It is fine as it is, IMHO.

For me, this shot is more about the soft light and brilliant (even) color. Great clarity and just the right DOF, too.
