Beth: I used an SB-800 flash triggered remotely by my camera (D200). I snooted the flash with a piece of tin foil and crumpled the end to shape the light. I’ve been trying to learn some (cheap) lighting techniques from http://strobist.blogspot.com.

Nicely exposed. I'm still grappling with the composition, ie the single line of objects though.

Russ,: if it’s of any value, the composition is the most appealing aspect to me. There’s the whole “apples to oranges” concept as it relates to husband and wife. There’s the citrus relationship and how the lemon and orange lean into each other as a sign of affection. Then there’s the apple; rigid, upright and posed; a bit alienated from the citrus but going through the motions. But I’m probably giving too much credit to my own composition
