This shot was taken last summer on the north shore of Lake Superior. We tried unsuccessfully for two nights to get a decent sunset, and this was our last chance. The sunset started out no better than the other two, but as the sun got closer to the horizon, the clouds rolled in and in the last few minutes, everything came together.

Your persistence and patience definately paid off. You got a gorgeous sunset and image. Love the rich, yet slightly subdued colors of the sky and water. Those clouds are awesome. Excellent composition: I love the low position of the sun and how it is centered between the silhouetted land masses. Wonderful!
