Terrific shot, anand. Very crisp shot, loaded with detail and nice tight composition. I really like how the side lighting brings out the details and texture in the wooden pole. Nice catchlight in the birds eye. Well seen and captured.

I'm so jealous! A few years ago I was renting a cottage on a Michigan Lake. The resort had these huge Beech trees and first thing every morning you could hear this woodpecker having his breakfast. 3 straight days, and a roll of film and all I got was nice shots of beech trees! Great shot, and crop.
