I like this image a lot, Bart and how it captures the feel of a small hometown that maybe has seen better days. I think that B&W suits this very well. The overall tones are somewhat flat and would benefit from a boost in contrast and a little sharpening. Try some digital polish (USM 12%, 50, 0) in PS. A couple of easy ways to increase the contrast would be in shadow/highlights (0 shadow adjustment and boost the highlights to a pleasing level) or in selective color you can increase the amount of black in the neutrals. A little sharpening and it's done. I just love those old gasoline pumps standing along the curb. Wonderful sense of depth to this image--my eye is pulled down the street and deeper into the image. With a little tweaking this shot would look fabulous matted and framed.
