Here in the Puget Sound area (WA) we get to see various species of the Camellia blooming from Oct. thru Apr-May. Nice to see blooms outdoors this time of year.

Beautiful blossom. Exposure looks good. Did you experiment with different apertures? Like Beth, I think a shallower DOF would have been lovely. Nice capture, Russ. I like the nice warm light you photographed this under.
