Yes, indeed! This is one of the most innovative of the splash photos I've ever seen. Sometimes an actual event can be as surreal as anything we can dream up. Water with just a little milk added has a somewhat similar effect, but is more translucent.

Thanks guys! As a mater of fact at first I planned shooting eggs dropping into some liquid. Milk was the only solution available but my first egg plain broke in 5 cm deep water. I realized that it'd be too expensive, then came the eggshell idea, One shell was enough for about 30-40 frames and one cm deep milk was all I needed. Some inquire, how many shots I did make, but nobody ask how messy it was after the shooting... lol
For light I used a 500 w studio strobe. I started it with the use of a small flash placed on the camera. But... the flash duration of a strobe turned out to be too long. Next time I am gonna find some flash with a shorter duration.
