Thanks for the comments.
Most of the participants at Pride are having a very good time, and don't mind and in fact encourage having their photos taken. The few exceptions are usually Gays who are still closeted and fear family, straight friends or employers seeing their photos. In the seven or eight years I've been shooting the event, I have only been refused permission (by people who knew I was taking their picture) three or four times, and of course I always respect their wishes and have never sniped a photo after being asked not to.
