...and mothers, sisters and brothers. I didn't see any Memorial Day pictures in the gallery, so I thought I'd add one.
Long Island National Cemetery at Pinelawn is just around the corner from my office, and since I have family there, I drop by quite a bit. The week after Memorial Day is always a grand sight; the rows of white stones amid the green grass with the bright red, white and blue of the flags, thousands of them in a vast array.

Very good photo. Very appropriate sentiment. You chose the right time of day to enhance the inscriptions, but the inscription on that first stone provokes more questions than provides answers.

Glad you took it and glad you posted. It wasnt the best day Monday for weather, but I was planning of getting this type of shot.
