I like the comp here, with the barn out of focus. Makes you wonder how long that wire has been there.

The yellow insulator is really eye catching. After exploring all the rich details in the old fence post and wire, I like how my eye is pulled back to the weathered, old barn. Wonderful use of DOF, Todd. Beautifully composed--it tells a story. What are the structures next to the barn--for some reason, I'm not sure why, the term corn crib comes to mind.

Nice rustic tones of wood and oxidized metal. The ground is "bad" here, too and I'm not too keen on getting muddy even in my "working road trip" grubbies. Are those corn cribs on the right? They look a bit like bird cages at a zoo.

Thanks Ben, Barbara & Mike! Yes they are corn cribs - the only reason I know that is that the other day, I had some farmer guy explain to me what the different type of barns & silo's there were.
