Cool, I was just going to post a similar image! I like it. It reminds me of a painting. Acrylic on black canvas. You never know what you are going to get with this type of photo, this one is a very nice surprise.

Thanks! I originally shot this for an event at the camera club called multiscreen. Everyone has a list of topics and the goal is for each club to come up with an image for each topic. Three clubs then compete. This was my attempt for "swirls" a couple of years ago. It wasn't the one used for the club, but I thought it was cool.

i read an article about this technique and really want to experiment. Did you just move the camera in a circular motion? I would like to know:-)
