The course was cut out of an alfalfa field, hence it's "slightly" brown hue. This driver is taking the curve wide and the jet is flinging mud from the bank of the channel. There was a fence surrounding the course and I didn't have a long enough lens to go higher on the spectator hill.

Great action shot, Mike! You did a terrific job of working around the fence. The wall of mud/water behind the boat makes the shot for me. Good color, well composed and crisp--Maybe I should have just said "Ditto what Rick said" LOL

Great catch. The fence is actually part of the racing right? I think you show just enough of it.
