Another series from a rainy, heavy overcast day in the Paradise Valley area of Mt. Rainier NP.
They have beautiful color, lines, and texture when freshly sprouted but quickly turn into swiss cheese as they're apparently a favorite food for all sorts of insects.

This is a lovely capture, Russ. Love all those beautiful shades of green. Might you consider a little off the top to remove the patch of grass peaking thru? Wonderful near-abstract capture of this pretty plant. I've seen this growing at the higher elevations around here: Silver Star Mountain and Mt Revelstoke--none of my shots turned out this nice!
