Thanks, Barbara. I'm glad you like the image. I took it on as a challenge because I don't do much plant photography. Then I began to wonder if I had gone overboard with heightening the colour, trying to get more depth, etc. I know that in some contests, I may have been told by some judges that I had changed the image too much for a true nature photo. But that whole area of judging digital nature images is very confusing to me. Personally, I think pping is a great way to clarify an image and bring out some of the subject's qualities that might not otherwise be visible.
