I got up at 3:30am yesterday and headed out to the mountains. There were a bunch of clouds in the sky so I knew that the sunrise would be either be spectacular or a flop. I arrived at Two Jack Lake in Banff National Park about 15 min to sunrise and was still fiddling with my framing even as the light show was beginning.

Honestly brutal feedback would be most appreciated.

You couldn't ask for better light, and your exposure/digital processing is gr8. I wish that Island wasn't pointing out of the frame, because if it were pointing toward the peaks with the warm light on top it would have been as close to perftect as you could ask, imo.

Another stellar shot. That bit of brilliantly coloured light on the mountain is fantastic. Did the mountain get more or just the bit on the top? Some long glass would have been good to pull that in.

Ditto, the orange mountain tips are amazing. I love the slight sense of motion to the clouds. Great work.

Only tweak I can think of is something I'm working with on my own shots and that is to open the lens up a little more (or increase the ISO) to shoot a faster shutter to enhance the details in the water and clouds to the left of the peak.

Outstanding capture.
