Doesn't look oversharpened to me. Those 'trickles' of rust are really cool.

Hi Suzanne! Nice abstraction with this chunk of metal. Where is up and where is down? Those rust trickles look like some vegetation on Mars. Sharpness? Not with that size. Looks OK with me. Val

Thank you Barbara, Val and Topcat. I'm happy you like this image. I love doing abstracts. I really wanted the rust trickles to be prominant so that is partly why I asked if everything looks sharp enough. Thank you for your help. Up is the pink line and the trickles are at the bottom as pictured here. That's neat about the trickles looking like Mar's vegetation, Val.

Wow, cool abstract. Nice rich colors. I just tried cropping the very bottom to get rid of that black space and make the colors fill the frame and liked the way it looked. But this way looks great too.

What is it? I think it is the side of a boat.

Hi Jason,
Thanks for your comments. I'm glad you like the image and I like your suggestion, too. But for this particular version I've chosen to leave the black space at the bottom because I like the way the trickles curve to an edge. However, I may play around with it all for another image using your suggestion.
It's actually a close up of the back of a piece of road machinery.
