The 3rd bridge (Galloping Gertie was the 1st), built over the last 5 years, was open today for walking and tomorrow for its 1st traffic. I don't know how many people, but its 6 lanes and 1 mile.....and was packed with people!!!!

Do they plan to leave the other bridge in place? I hope so. It's cool how the architecture of the new bridge compliments the older one. That's a lot of folks there!!
