Thanks for your kind comments. I am not sure if you'll find this version better. For me this is a learning experience. I guess if I was as good as you are, I would probably do it for living or at least have my work displayed in a top notch gallery.

I'm going to suggest that you try to get a copy of "Secrets of Studio Still Life Photography" by Gary Perweiler, Amphoto, 1984
ISBN-0-8174-5897-2
ISBN 0-8174-5898-0PBK
This book will explain in detail how to produce some stunning shots of the type you are now attempting.
In this shot, your depth of field is too shallow, so that beyond the front edge of the saucer, everything becomes progressively softer, and the surface of the drink is not sharp.
I think keeping the inside edge free of sip-scum (I made that up, for want of a better word, but what I'm talking about is the residue of the liquid left on the cup surface after someone has taken a drink) is an improvement. The cup looks much cleaner this way. However, I still would like some "garnish" such as a biscotti or whatever to add more mood to the image.
I really hope I'm not discouraging you by picking the image to pieces, but from what little I've learned about product photography and the feeble attempts at it that I've made, I can tell you that it is really much harder than it looks to do well.
Thanks for your compliments. And in answer to your comment about me doing this for a living? As my mother says, "From your lips to God's ears".

I hope you don't mind if I offer a couple more suggestions? (If I didn't think this had any merit I wouldn't bother, but I do )
Your lighting is a little dull. I know, it's VERY hard to get enough and not get it harsh! Are you using PS? Have a look at your histogram under "levels". You want the right slider nearer a peak, and you have a ways to go for that. Play with both ends and see what you get
The other thing, in MY opinion, is the tilt. Personally, I'd like to see the stripes in the cup vertical. Do you know the measuring tool trick for rotation in Photoshop?
