Wow, he sure let you get close--I like how you filled the frame with just his/her head. Looks kind of bumpy to be a frog--I always thought the bumpy skinned ones were toads, but I'm certainly no expert when it comes to amphibians, lol. You've captured lots of interesting texture and detail in his nose and near mouth areas--I wish there were a tad more DOF to included the near eye in focus too. Good job getting a close-up view of what are usually pretty skittish creatures.

I had him sitting on my left hand while I photographed him with my right. Might have some to do with his eye not being as sharp as I would like it to be. I may have a better one of him? I sure am using that phrase alot lately. guess I should dig out the best before I post, aye? I think he is a tree frog? maybe he was really wanting to sleep and feeling groggy is maybe why he allowed me to hold him? comments are always welcome, thank you.
