Just trying out the long exposure capabilities of the D200.
We were in KCMO this weekend for the Shakespeare Festival and I got the opportunity to get out for a couple of hours in the middle of the night.

Love the comp of the building and foreground element. It seems a tad dark for me Tom. Looks like you took this at the dead of night. 1am according to exif info. Did you shot this raw?

BTW, we need to get together sometime and go shooting. There a few of "St. Louis" Chimps around to do that. Also, Matt has the D200 as well.

Hi, Todd.

It was the dead of night. Around 1:30am. (I need to adjust the time on the D200.)

Funny thing... this looks perfect on my MacBook, but much darker on my PC. I have both calibrated... There seems to be at least 1 stop difference between the two when viewing onscreen. The same holds true for the other shot... (click on "They came from Outer Space" to view larger image and you will see a difference in exposure from the original I posted and a rework pushing the exposure up 1 stop.)

Maybe one day I will get the time to work out these digital details...

BTW: I have this same image as the desktop on my Mac and even the birdie in the mid ground stands out! (at 1280x800)

Thanks for the comment, Todd. Maybe we can get together sometime and shoot. This has been my first time out with the camera since I don't know when... It felt GREAT!

Peace.
