ed, i remember something like this done on phototalk. the sticks were standing straight up and the ones around the outside were leaning just a bit. gave the whole thing a fisheye look. it might have had a blue tint to it..

nice work val. great detail and exposure.

I thought it was a honeycomb in the thumbnail and the larger version looks like quartz rods or something industrial. Enjoying your landscapes; nice to see your "macro" eye as well.
