Beautifully composed image, Todd. The selective color works nicely here. I'm not a big fan of the technique since it is overused and oftentimes not in the most effective way--but it looks great here!! The color emphasizes the peeling paint which might be lost if the barber pole had been converted to b&w. The reflection in the window adds depth to the 'story' by revealing something about were the barber shop is located--the trees are nice and don't create a cluttered, busy or distracting reflection. Nicely seen and processed.

ditto pretty much everything barbara said. i had to look twice to see if the paint was peeling around the window, i noticed it right away around the pole. good comp. and detail.
