The Blue Swallow Motel on Historic Route 66 in Tucumcari, New Mexico. Shot this around 12:30 in the afternoon, local time.
The blue sky is kinda choppy here, I've got to do something there. I shot with a polarizer, but the RAW file was underexposed. I may try a different RAW converter; this was with Canon DPP.

I don't know, I think the blue sky kinda suits the composition and title of the motel. This is a wonderful find and a great shot! I think the mid-day light works well. It helps to convey the sense of desert and heat and the need for some of that "100% refrigerated air."
Take PS CS3 and go no further! It’s RAW converter has dozens of settings. As to the blues - you can change saturation, luminosity to the blues only leaving other colors intact! They say – noon shooting is a taboo for serious photographers. With this converter I think this rule is already obsolete.

NJ, GREAT SHOTS!!! ALL of them are my fav's/ This one a little bit more. Cant wait to see more RT 66 shots of yours. I drove RT 66 from Springfield IL to St. James Mo. a few weeks ago. Like to see the shots you got from that area.
