Very nicely done. I especially like the subtle reflection of the yellow in the river.

Tom,
As much as I've admired your work including other versions of this scene, I have to admit that I immediately scanned your "Photo Details" section to see how/why you added the obvious yellow. Such a naturally wondrous place should (IMHO) only be subtly enhanced, ie hue/saturation/contrast etc. The yellow filter is a bit over the top, maybe if you desaturated it? Its a beautiful scene without it. Just my quick take ($0.02).

Stunning image, Tom. Well done, IMHO. I've seen this area and know the colours you can get at sunrise and sunset and so know that this is not "over the top" at all.
Barbara and I hope to be there again later this year. We're heading for Alberta the last two weeks of September. Hope we get some nice light.

I like the golden glow as it reflects off the mountain peaks. I wish the foreground was a little lighter to expose some of the detail that is hidden by shadow.

Thank you all for your feedback!
The blue and yellow polarizer is something that you either love or hate. I bought it about a year ago but never really used it until now. I'm doing an online landscape and nature photography course right now and last weeks lesson was partly about nd grad filters, polarizers, and the blue & yellow polarizer. Part of the assignment was to shoot a scene without filters (in this case the sky was totally blown out) and one with filters. I thought that I would give this filter a try. I kind of like the yellow and the yellow reflection in the water here although I will admit that if the sunrise had more colour to it (pinks or orange alpenglow) I would have prefered a "natural" shot with a regular polarizer.
Russ - Just out of curiosity, are you viewing this on a calibrated monitor? I'm asking because the yellow looks way more saturated (almost too much) on my un-calibrated monitor at work than on my calibrated one at home.

Tom,
No this isn't a calibrated monitor. Its obvious that other respected viewers are okay w/ the yellow polarizer. As you indicated you either like or dislike the effect. I can say its much better (ie truer) than my laptop or office desktop!!! I applaud your trying new approaches.
