Contrast boosted and a little sharpening due to resizing.
Matt suggested I now color the leaves... I'll try it if I can figure out how to do it.

Glad you posted this conversion Jen. I agree with the others, this one has even more of a statement than the color one.

OK, here is what I did using PS7...
desaturated image, boosted contrast about 30%, resized for web, then decided it looked a little soft and then used sharpen edges
I thought I might have added too much contrast but I wanted to give more depth to the vines.
