Its almost at river level. However, on the Washington side, Rt 14 usually takes a higher route with many vistas. Here is Oregon's Mt. Hood eastern flank as viewed 35 miles away from east of The Dalles, OR and on the WA side of the Columbia River. Canon 20D, 100-400mm @ 250 ISO100, f11, 1/100 sec
