ChrisM Junior Member Registered: April 2006 Posts: 6 users gallery	These pictures were a lot of fun to shoot. I've been after a group of these Black crowned night herons for a few months now. I found them resting in the morning in a little pound near were I live. To get to them I had to walk through an opening in the fence. As soon as I get close they fly off. This bird stayed for some time. So I kept an eye on him while taking shots of Mallards, there were at least 100 Mallards. I saw the Heron start to move higher on it's branch and I hoped I was going to catch it flying away. Well, these are the shots I hoped for. In fortunatly my lens is not the one I wish I had for the job. So I think they came out nicely for manual focus and exposed?? Thanks for looking.
