Very cool! Thanks for the explanation about the setup for this--the garden lighting and painting the arch with light gives this a surreal quality that I really love. Was this taken just at twilight or was the blue sky brought out during the long exposure? I agree with Paul--a wall hanger for sure!

i love the lighting here, the orange lights are usually horrid in a photo, but i agree it adds to this seen, gives it a very interesting surrealistic feeling. the deep blue sky right next to the orange lit plants sets it off.

This shot was taken at 6:35 PM, within minutes of the end of twilight. To the naked eye it seemed dark but apparently the 30 sec exposure shows that there was still yet some skylight.
Perhaps the most difficult thing was getting focus. AF doesn't work in the dark!!!! And looking thru the viewfinder didn't cut it either. In the end I just set the distance dial to a hyperfocal setting. Using 17mm helped!!!
